SULPHUR 2008 will bring together representatives from a wide variety of disciplines within the industries which produce and use sulphur and sulphuric acid from all over the world. The conference will review the status of the world sulphur and sulphuric acid industries and markets and their prospects. Concurrently with the conference, there will be a complementary exhibition of products, technology, equipment, and literature for the sulphur and sulphuric acid industries.
There will be simultaneous Russian and English interpreting throughout the conference sessions.

Due to extremely high demand, the dinners on Sunday and Monday night are now fully booked. There is still availability for the Welcome Reception and the Champagne Breakfast.
There will be a Welcome Reception on Sunday 2 November, sponsored by British Sulphur Events and ICEC.
Following the reception, buses will take delegates to a dinner at the Palazzo Doria Pamahilj, sponsored by Nuova Solmine in cooperation with ENI.
Before dinner, there will be a private tour of the Doria Pamphilj Gallery which holds a large number of seventeenth-century masterpieces (works by Caravaggio, Annibale Carracci, Guido Reni, Guercino, Jan Bruegel, Jusepe Ribera, Velázquez, Claude Lorrain, Gaspard Dughet), and important Renaissance pieces (Titian, Raphael, Garofalo, Lorenzo Lotto, Pieter Bruegel, Correggio, Parmigianino). Dinner will then be served in the “salone da Ballo” and “salone del Poussin”.
On Monday 3 November there will be a champagne breakfast sponsored by Solvadis.
Also on Monday 3 November delegates are invited to an Italian dinner at the Villa Miani, sponsored by Prai Trading & Shipping, Escofert, Zolfital and Zolfindustria.
This striking Roman villa, dating from the early 1900's, is set high up on the slopes of Monte Mario and almost seems to brush the cupola of St. Peter's. This wonderful home, built for the Miani Counts, is immersed in the greenery of a beautifully kept garden, and offers a unique panorama overlooking the city of Rome. Buses are available to delegates to and from the Sheraton Hotel.


The conference hotel is now fully booked due to extremely high demand. There are two alternative hotels nearby, both about 10min by cab - the FOUR POINTS by SHERATON ROMA WEST and the HOLIDAY INN ROME EUR PARCO DEI MEDICI.

The Conference will take place at the Sheraton Roma Hotel in Rome. The Sheraton Roma Hotel is conveniently located between Rome city centre and Fiumicino International Airport. Regular shuttle services to and from the hotel take delegates to these locations in just 15-20 minutes.

Your spouse is welcome to attend the evening receptions on Sunday - Tuesday at no extra cost. If your spouse would like to attend the conference lunches and coffee breaks, there will be an additional charge of €125. Please note that spouses are not admitted into the working sessions of the conference.
If you cancel your registration:
Before 3 October 2008 we will refund the registration fee paid, minus an administration charge of £60 / $125 / €85. After 3 October 2008 we will not refund any fee. Delegates can substitute their place with another colleague at no extra charge. If we have to cancel the conference for any reason, we will refund the full amount of any registration fees that have been paid.
