Site visit to Rio Tinto Alcan, Scotland

Enjoy an aluminium site visit with a difference. Thanks to the hospitality of Rio Tinto Alcan, CRU is delighted to offer a tour that takes in the past, present and future of aluminium smelting as part of this year’s World Aluminium Conference.

Delegates will fly to Scotland on the evening of the 12th May where they will be transported to Fort William. On the 13th May the day will commence with a tour of the historic Kinlochleven aluminium smelter and the fully operational hydro assets at Blackwater damn. Following lunch delegates will enjoy a walking tour of Rio Tinto Alcan's smelter and hydro electric plant at Lochaber. Delegates will return to London in the evening of the 13th.

Places are strictly limited. Due to the logistical complexity of organising this tour the closing date for applications to attend is Monday the 22nd of April. Please note if we do not get enough interested delegates this will not go ahead.
