CRU's Molybdenum Monitor, published 9th September 2016, reports of continuing supply tightness supporting prices throughout September. CRU Senior Consultant Edward Spencer writes: "Prevailing supply concerns have continued to support prices throughout August, despite a seasonal slowdown in trading and weak demand from mills. Global mine supply in Q2 decreased by 10.6% y/y, largely driven by a large decline in production at Sierra Gorda and JDC."
