CRU's TSP Cost Curve is available to buy separately or part of CRU's Phosphate Fertilizer Cost Service. The TSP Cost Curve provides you with costs for 27 operations, which equates to 88% of global capacity.
You can benchmark by mine, company or country. You can download the data into Excel for further analysis.
Data is offered for each individual product during the 2006 – 2014 period. If you subscribe to multiple curves you can switch between multiple commodities easily and produce in depth multi-commodity cost analysis.
How do we calculate our costs?
Site Costs (EXW) = Raw material cost (phosphate rock and sulphur) Conversion cost (energy, labour, consumables, sustaining capital).
Business Cost = Site Cost Realization (adjustment to site cost to reflect ex-works value of MOP relative to the DAP fob Morocco price).
Both costs are calculated against Actual and Capacity operating rates.
Actual Operating Rate: Uses actual production rates achieved in the cost calculations.
Capacity Operating Rate: Uses capacity production rates in the cost calculations.
