An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join CRU’s Base Metals Asset team. This group delivers production and financial analysis on global mining and processing assets across the Copper, Gold, Lithium, Nickel, Lead and Zinc commodities.
This role will have a primary focus on:
- Developing discounted cash flow model templates for mining projects and assets (base metals)
- Collecting, analysing and forecasting production, financial and emissions data for the commodities sitting within CRU’s base metals team (Copper, Gold, Lithium Nickel, Lead, Zinc) mines and smelters & refineries.
- Creating in-depth analysis of the global competitiveness of mines; the current and future cost structure of the base metals industry; and the impact of decarbonisation on the industry.
- Engaging clients to promote CRU’s analysis and help shape the industry’s thinking about its future.
To achieve this, the successful candidate must be comfortable structuring and executing primary research activities, be highly numerate and have a passion for metals and mining industry. This role will be ideal for an early-career individual who is already working within the mining industry, or a generalist with a background in data analysis and/ or financial modelling who wants to build their career within the metals and mining sector.Apply Here
