You will be responsible for basic market research, analysing market fundamentals, forecasting and communicating your views in written form. Moreover, you will work closely with product editors and regional market experts whilst also contributing to process development and data management initiatives. Undergraduate degree in Economics, Mining, Engineering, Geology, Maths or Science related discipline with a minimum grade of 2:1 (or equivalent)
Strong background in maths and/or economics
Strong quantitative background and a creative thinker based on a robust approach to data/modelling
An analytical mind-set and able to get to grips quickly with the intricacies and complexities of the economics and data that drive our business and strategy
Excellent Microsoft Excel and data management skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Good attention to detail with the ability to work to strict deadlines
Goal-oriented, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm; able to operate efficiently, effectively and professionally within a fast paced, dynamic and results driven business environment
Masters degree in Economics or similar is desirable
CRU operates on a global basis so the jobholder must expect to communicate across offices and time zones. Some business travel outside of the UK may also be required.
