Business Development ManagerPittsburgh, United States

CRU is seeking a Business Development Manager who will develop and implement a multi-faceted regional sales strategy focusing on supporting CRU’s clients and assisting with their needs, financial growth, increasing and or maintaining market position, client retention, new client acquisition and competitor displacement.

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to meet and or exceed quarterly and annual financial targets by driving sustainable financial growth by increasing CRU analysis and consulting sales. You will coordinate and partner with CRU analysts and consultants to best support CRU’s existing and prospective clients.

In addition, you will attend industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and professional association meetings when necessary. This role will provide the opportunity to become part of a dynamic, supportive and truly international team.

Essential Criteria

Sales prospecting skills

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Public speaking/presentation skills

Client research and business qualification

Nurturing client relationships and closing skills

Identification of customer needs and challenges

Territory management

A minimum of two years sales experience (subscription-based product and consulting sales preferred)

Commercial awareness, confidence and experience in customer-facing scenarios

The ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks while under pressure

Analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable Criteria

CRU Product knowledge and working knowledge of CRU’s competitors

Additional Information 

CRU operates on a global basis, and the jobholder must expect to travel as required.
