Data Processing AnalystLondon, United Kingdom

CRU’s Economics team is looking to recruit a talented and motivated individual to support the team’s production of high quality reports, presentations and models.

You will be responsible for the team’s data processes and report production, working closely with economists and analysts. Moreover, there will also be opportunities to contribute to data process development and data management initiatives. For the right person, this role at CRU will provide the opportunity to use and develop your data skills on a daily basis and to become part of a dynamic, supportive and truly international team.

Key Responsibilities
Accurately collect, process and quality assure data from a wide range of sources as inputs into the team’s regular outputs and projects and to meet requests from colleagues across CRU.

Research new data sources as required.

Maintain and develop a structured, robust and efficient approach to all aspects of data collection and handling, including producing and maintaining clear documentation.

Ensure consistency and high standards of data management and processes within the team.

Identify opportunities to improve the team’s data processes and the usefulness of data to colleagues.

Develop strong relationships with analysts to best understand their data requirements and to provide advice and support.

Produce charts and tables for reports and presentations.

Be responsible for producing the team’s publications to high standard and to deadline.

Own and be responsible for the design, development and delivery of data management projects.

Desirable Criteria
Degree educated in a numerate discipline such as Economics or Maths.

Strong numeracy skills and ability to critically assess data and formulae.

Experience of producing reports and presentations using Word and PowerPoint.

Excellent Microsoft Excel and data management skills.

A clear communicator and logical thinker with exceptional problem solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to work under direction and to manage own work to meet strict deadlines.

The candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate experience or the capability to manage projects independently.

Evidence of an interest in current, international affairs an advantage.

Relevant work experience preferred.
