CRU’s market leading Steel Team is looking to add a talented and motivated to join our Price Assessment Team. As Ferroalloys Price Assessor, you will cover a number of CRU services containing ferroalloys prices with an emphasis on Asian markets. You will also represent CRU's prices business internally and externally to a range of stakeholders.
Price assessment, covering a number of CRU services containing ferroalloys prices (bulk ferroalloys, Chrome, Nickel, Moly, metallics, noble alloys and minor metals).
Writing market commentary and analysis across ferroalloys markets.
Management of price assessment contacts, making calls and writing market updates for a set group of prices across ferroalloys, with a focus on Asia.
Creating and nurture external relationships helpful to the development of new contacts.
Representing CRU’s prices business externally to customers, potential customers and other parties, encouraging the use of CRU prices in contracts and the development of licensing revenue.
Applying CRU’s methodologies to price assessment, in line with overall CRU policy, and to take a leading role in contributing to further development.
You will have experience of price assessment practice and methodology.
Experience of ferroalloys or related metals industries would be an advantage.
Complete fluency in written and spoken Chinese. Fluent written and spoken English is required.
Confidence in talking to market participants by telephone as well as developing a lasting relationship with contacts.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Confidence and curiosity: the ability to initiate discussions with market participants and an inquisitive mind to obtain information that helps CRU provide a unique understanding to these markets.
Prior work experience in the metals industry, or commodity markets in general, is desirable but not essential.
Willingness to embrace change and be a team player.
