Fertilizer Analyst - AmericasPittsburgh, United States

The Fertilizer business team is seeking a talented, motivated degree educated Analyst to contribute further to its growth. This position will be located in Pittsburgh, focusing on short and long-term market fundamentals and trends in the North and South American markets.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Analysing and forecasting market fundamentals and trends
  • Communicating to clients in written and verbal form
  • Working closely with product editors to publish reports in a timely manner
  • Market calls for weekly price assessments
  • Contribute to development of fertilizer models and data management initiatives
Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong background in maths and/or economics
  • Strong quantitative background and a creative thinker based on a robust approach to data/modelling
  • Numeracy and ability to critically analyse data, identifying trends and key drivers
  • Evidence of commercial awareness would also be an advantage, particularly an understanding of commodities markets
  • Experience in fertilizer or other commodity markets

  • Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluent written and spoken English 
  • Spanish and Portuguese language skills highly advantageous
