You will be responsible for basic market research in our Steel Team, analysing market fundamentals, forecasting and communicating your views in written form. Moreover, you will work closely with product editors and regional market experts whilst also contributing to process development and data management initiatives. Undergraduate degree and/or Masters in Economics, Mining, Engineering, Geology, Maths or Science related discipline.
Evidence of commercial awareness would also be an advantage, particularly an understanding of commodities markets or relevant work experience.
Numeracy and ability to critically analyse data, identifying trends and key drivers.
Excellent Microsoft Excel and data management skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Complete fluency in written and spoken English.
Confident in talking to market participants by telephone.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
