CRU Consulting is the consultancy arm of the CRU Group and delivers approximately 200 projects per year across a wide section of clients in the mining, metals, fertilizers and chemicals industry.  Many of our projects are related to strategy and market decisions faced by our clients.  We provide value to our clients through accurate data, insightful analysis and timely delivery.    

Working alongside industry experts, you will play a key role within our consulting division, providing in-depth and insightful knowledge on a wide range of exciting and often confidential global projects.    

You will be responsible for Project Management, developing supportive, professional relationships with individual customers. You will design project work plans, customer communication plans and complete delegation notes. In addition to project work, you will be involved with client interaction involving marketing; lead generation and preparation of proposals as well as starting to develop your own networks and relationships.

Essential Criteria     

Masters Degree with a minimum grade of merit Previous exposure to and knowledge of the aluminium industry, this may have been in industry, engineering, consultancy or finance

Understanding of the aluminium value chain and the main players of the industry

Goal-oriented, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm; able to operate efficiently, effectively and professionally within a fast paced, dynamic and results driven business environment

An analytical mind-set and able to get to grips quickly with the intricacies and complexities of the economics and data that drive our business and strategy

Strong commercial awareness

Positive and collaborative attitude and a genuine interest in developing the team to be the best in the industry - delivering value to our clients and creating value for shareholders

Strong quantitative background with a robust approach to data/modelling

Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Fluent written and spoken English

Enthusiastic regarding delivering the highest quality projects to every client; Responsive to client needs but commercially minded Excellent attention to detail

Additional Information 

CRU operates on a global basis, so the jobholder must expect to communicate across offices and time zones International business travel will be required
