We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager who “gets” our business and can add value to our marketing team and wider events team. You’ll do this by providing top-class marketing campaigns to drive growth across a portfolio of events; working effectively across projects in our matrix organisation; and managing a sometimes challenging workload – all with a sense of humour.

CRU’s network of overseas offices and analysts based in key commodity hubs across Asia, Europe and the Americas, enables deep insight into local markets and gives CRU the capability to forge connections across global supply chains.

About You:

You’ll have extensive experience of managing marketing campaigns in similar B2B businesses, with a focus on demonstrating ROI from social and other digital channels. You’ll be excited to stretch yourself in this highly visible and accountable role, working autonomously across the projects teams and giving and receiving support from the marketing team.

You’ll be pioneering by nature, always curious, and keen to challenge the status quo to find new or better ways of achieving the best results. A natural communicator, you’ll win colleagues over to your way of thinking and you have a natural talent for writing persuasive copy that wins more business – whether this is for websites, emails, social media or traditional brochures. 

Proactive, enthusiastic, and hands-on, you are ultra-organised and always ready to roll your sleeves up and help others in your team – particularly on site at the events - whatever the task.

A quick learner who can grasp new products and markets quickly, you’ll be adept at producing results within a short time period and building honest, trusted, and collaborative relationships. You’ll have integrity and deliver on time, and to budget, and want to get to know our customers on a personal (but professional) level.

Ideally, you’ll have a job-relevant degree (2:1 or above). It would also be great if you speak a second language, such as a Spanish, but that’s desirable and by no means essential for the role, as is experience of using marketing tools such as Pardot and Salesforce.

About Us:

CRU Events is a small, close-knit team of just 20 people who produce, sell, market and run the operations of 20+ events per year of various sizes and complexity, all around the globe. This is a team whose output is hugely greater than the sum of its parts!

We are looking to grow, organically and by acquisition, to possibly 30 events per year, with a team of 5 marketers.

The pace is fast – but exciting. We’re not perfect, but we’re working on it, and we try to have fun with what we do. As a team, we are focused and committed, and celebrate our successes. The environment can be high-pressure at times, particularly when we are running lots of events at the same time and have skeleton staff in the office, but that’s when team work really comes into its own.
