CRU is holding its annual CRU Breakfast in London on Tuesday 31st October 2017 and we would like you and your colleagues to join us.

This event is free to attend and takes place at RIBA, London from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.

During this breakfast event, there will be an opportunity to network with industry participants, CRU analysts and attend our presentation and workshops.

The theme for this year’s main presentation is: The China of Tomorrow

  • Economics: China evolving and must slow
  • Demand: Winners and losers as China transitions
  • Supply: Adapting to new conditions
  • Costs and prices: Upward trend for costs and prices

We will also host two workshops:

  • Workshop 1: Marginal costs and base metal pricing indicators
    • Prices and margins: Are metal prices rising faster than costs and where do we expect the fastest rates of cost inflation?
    • Past and present cycles of price support: CRU will look at Pb/Zn, Cu and Ni and how the various cost curves have fared
    • What can we conclude on fundamental or fund-driven recent price action and the effects for miners?
  • Workshop 2: New energy vehicles – effect on metals markets
    • Rates of adoption of new energy vehicles – significant impacts on future commodity demand and forecasting adoption
    • CRU investigates three forecasting methods: economic modelling, survey of consumer attitudes and review of automotive manufacturers Plans
    • What can we conclude and what does it mean for LME commodities?

The presentation and workshops are open to all registered delegates.

Address: RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD
