We would be delighted if you could join us for our North American fertilizer webinar focused on the changing trade and competitive dynamics in the region.

Crosswinds in the North American fertilizer industry – assessing diverging supply fortunes in the nitrogen and phosphate markets

Date: Thursday 9 August 2018
Times:  9.00 BST and 15.00 BST (10.00 US EST)

Overview

The structure of the North American fertilizer industry has transformed drastically over the past few years. The US shale gas revolution has triggered a wave of investment in domestic nitrogen capacity, reducing import requirements. Conversely, phosphate capacity continues to close as the industry consolidates and lower cost production ramps up elsewhere. This webinar will explore the changing trade and competitive dynamics in the North America, the world’s 3rd largest fertilizer market.

On the agenda

  • How did we get here? An overview of recent market developments
  • How will seasonal nitrogen exports from the US Gulf impact prices?
  • Understanding the nitrogen competitive landscape – what role will Trinidad play?
  • Changing phosphate dynamics – will capacity continue to close?
  • Will there be phosphates ‘demand pull’ from Canada?
  • Who will supply the US phosphates market?

Following the presentation, we will address questions submitted by the audience. The webinar is free to attend and will be offered in two sessions. The webinar length is approximately 45 minutes.
