Join us for our CRU + CME Group steel webinar discussing hot-rolled coil price volatility and how to manage the current and future markets.

Date:
   Thursday 18 April 2019
Times:
   Session I -  9:00 BST (London)
   Session II - 10:00 EST (New York)

Overview

US Midwest hot-rolled coil (HRC) price volatility has increased markedly in recent months as opaque policy decision making processes and in-elasticity of domestic supply have led to large variations in physical market price. At the same time, volume and open interest on CME HRC futures and options contracts have surged. Chris Houlden and Josh Spoores will be joined by Sean Kessler, Manager, Metals Products, CME Group, to discuss these issues.

On the agenda

  • Causes of US Midwest HR coil price volatility;
  • Understanding future market fundamentals and prices;
  • Managing price risk now.

Following the presentation, we will address questions submitted by the audience. The webinar is free to attend.
