Alvaro joined CRU in November 2018 and works as a Consultant based in London in the Consulting division of CRU.
Previously, Alvaro worked as a Policy Advisor in the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Colombia and as an Analyst at Control Risks. Before joining CRU, he worked in project finance at John Laing Group, focusing in the divestment process of wind energy assets in Western Europe.
Alvaro has worked across a wide range of commodities including lithium, copper and coal, in strategy and market analysis projects, advising multinational mining companies, international institutions and banks, with a particular focus in the Latin American region.
Alvaro holds a MSc in Development Management from The London School of Economics and a MSc in Political and International Relations from Universidad del Rosario.
