This statement is pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps that CRU have taken to ensure that modern slavery has no place in our business or our supply chains.

CRU is committed to operating with integrity and high ethical standards. We do not allow modern slavery or human trafficking anywhere in our business and work hard with our partners and supply chains to ensure that human rights are respected and upheld.

CRU’s Governance, Risk & Compliance Committee has taken the lead on responsibility for the development and implementation of our anti-slavery initiatives. This committee aims to ensure that CRU is taking the correct proactive approach to the subject and assess and manage any potential risk. 

The core of CRU’s culture is a commitment to adaptability, collaboration, and proactivity. These values define how we engage with our stakeholders and reflect our commitment to honesty, integrity and acting ethically. We have a firm belief there is no place for slavery, servitude, forced labour, or human trafficking in modern society. This statement, made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, outlines the actions we have taken to ensure modern slavery has no presence in our business or supply chains.

 

Modern Day Slavery Initiatives for 2004/2025

  • Training: CRU Communities operate market-leading events across the globe. In 2025, the Communities Team will be trained to identify risks and signs of exploitation, especially in vulnerable situations. This specialised training will have focus on recognising potential red flags related to modern slavery.
  • Reporting: We will continue to enhance our global confidential reporting system, ensuring employees can safely report concerns about modern slavery. The system incorporates fundamental safeguards for whistleblowers, and provides clear guidelines to encourage reporting, investigation and resolution. 
  • Oversight: All office managers will be tasked with regularly reviewing and attesting their office’s commitment to modern slavery awareness and prevention.
  •  Modern Slavery Awareness: CRU will actively communicate our stance and reporting mechanisms for modern slavery risks to all employees.

These initiatives build on our 2024 commitments and will be reviewed annually to ensure their effectiveness.
