As part of these assignments, Diego has undertaken complex modelling tasks, including real options analysis, scenario analysis, end-use consumption modelling from both bottom up and top down perspectives, amongst others. As such, Diego has worked developing strategies across commodities as diverse as aluminium, copper, antimony, tungsten, rhenium, steel, to name a few.
Studying in Chile, Diego leveraged on the closeness to mine producers’ locations and interned in different mining companies in Chile, focusing on the evaluation of new policies. He also worked in the R&D department of a mining equipment company.
Diego holds a BSc in Industrial Mining Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and competent in Portuguese.
