Connell interned at Jacaranda Flame Consulting and worked for Blue Energy Solutions Australia prior to joining CRU. His ?thesis focused on the effectiveness of sustainable alternatives for salmon farming and how this would affect the industries profits. For his major design project he focused on the production of Green Steel, centered around the feasibility of a Molten Oxide Electrolysis plant.
