Damodharan has over ten years of experience in consulting and research. He is responsible for providing consulting services for high-value metals and energy commodities at CRU Consulting.

Before joining CRU, Damodharan was associated with a leading global procurement service provider, that enables procurement professionals to source metals and minerals in sustainable and cost effective ways. He has handled projects involving ferrous and non-ferrous metals, helping Fortune 500 clients to take informed decisions. The projects cut across various industries such as automobile, construction, metals and mining, power tools, and FMCG.

Damodharan has carried out various assignments, which include market studies, price forecasting, best-fit supplier analysis, cost modelling, and best-cost country sourcing. He has worked across metals and minerals, such as iron ore, stainless steel, steel, copper, aluminium, lithium, nickel and rare earths.

Damodharan has presented papers at international conferences on lithium and cement, and worked on various whitepapers and articles on metals and minerals.

Damodharan is an Engineering graduate from Bharathiyar University and holds an MBA in Finance from Anna University, India.
