Dr Edward Spencer joined CRU in 2015 as a Senior Consultant in the NiSSSA team (Nickel Stainless Steel and Special Alloys). In addition to cobalt he has worked on outlooks and updates for molybdenum, nickel and ferrochrome.

Ed has a PhD in Economic Geology from Imperial College London, where he specialised in the decoupled mineralisation of base metals in magmatic-hydrothermal systems.  After completing his studies he worked on an international geochemical exploration technique-development project and subsequently moved to the Mining Consultancy at the Natural History Museum London, where he worked on projects for several client mining companies.
