Sunil Seepana

Sunil Seepana has over 13 years of experience in the commodity industry and joined CRU in July 2022. He is based in India and works as a part of CRU's global steel team looking after the Middle Eastern and African steel markets and the Indian ferroalloys market.

He has experience in commodity derivative trading, commodity analysis and price forecasting, market price risk management and derivative hedging, industry analysis and macroeconomics.

Sunil's prior experience includes being a proprietary trader for five years in the energy and agricultural markets. Subsequently he has worked for over eight years in strategy and risk consulting roles advising manufacturing companies for their strategic sourcing requirements and has served, amongst others, large auto OEMs in India in developing market price risk management solutions and hedge frameworks.
Sunil holds a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
