Li has 15 years’ steel market research experience and joined CRU in 2013 following a 7 years’ steel consulting work in Hatch Beddows. Li contributes to CRU’s Iron Ore and Steel Cost Service.

Li initially worked as a steel raw materials analyst in CRU and moved to cost position in 2015. Prior to that, Li worked 7 years for Hatch Beddows where she fulfilled extensive consulting projects related market analysis, strategy development, due diligence, etc. through the steel value chain, covering China and South East Asia, including iron ore, coke, coal, ferroalloys, flats, pipe and tube, etc.. Li also has two years’ experience in Ping An Bank to evaluate risks regarding the steel related assets in China and offer suggestions on asset structure adjustment for Ping An Bank.

Li holds a Master of Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing.

Li is based in our Beijing office.
