The fertilizers business unit is seeking a talented and motivated London-based markets analyst to contribute further to its growth. The role will initially focus on short-term market reporting and analysis of the global trade in sulphur and sulphuric acid as major inputs into fertilizer markets. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious young reporter keen to cover commodity markets that overlap with energy, metals and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Reporting and analysing the global traded markets in sulphur and sulphuric acid
• Sulphur and sulphuric acid market price discovery and assessments
• Analysing and forecasting market fundamentals and trends
• Communicating to clients in written and verbal form
• Working closely with other fertilizer markets analysts to publish reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Market calls for weekly price assessments and reporting
• Relationship building with key contacts
Minimum Required Qualifications
• BA (Hons)
Additional Qualifications
• Journalism post-grad diploma or similar an advantage
Knowledge & Experience
• Strong editing, writing and reporting skills
• Creative thinking based on a robust approach to data.
• Numeracy and ability to critically analyse data, identifying trends and key drivers
• Evidence of commercial awareness also an advantage, particularly an understanding of commodities markets

• Strong English writing and reporting skills – candidate should be able to capture key market events concisely and incorporate data/analysis to provide unique CRU value addition to content
