About the role:
CRU is seeking a Wire & Cable Analyst to lead Fibre Optic (FO) and metallic wire & cable market research and client engagement across China and Northeast Asia. You will produce influential analysis for senior decision-makers, shaping investment and policy across the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build short- and long-term market views for FO and metallic W&C, with a primary focus on China and Northeast Asia, leveraging primary research networks and internal intelligence.
- Engage with participants across the wire and cable value chain to gather market insights.
- Expand CRU’s profile through client engagement, conferences, media and government outreach, and site visits.
- Contribute to written reports, presentations, market insights, and webinars across the W&C product suite.
- Collaborate with a global team of analysts to deliver thorough, transparent coverage of the global industry.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of the W&C sector and a passion to develop deep expertise.
- Analytical or commercial experience in metallic W&C or FO is a strong advantage.
- Proven report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to construct, deliver, and defend compelling sector narratives.
- Market-facing, commercially minded communicator; confident engaging senior external stakeholders.
- Skilled in client-focused research, analysis, and insight generation.
High numeracy and data management proficiency; ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information. - Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin), with strong reasoning and evidence-based argumentation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow an effective professional network.
