Bringing transparency with independent steel market prices

CRU supplies the leading index for steel prices in the US – namely, the US HR coil Midwest price. This index – known as “The CRU” – is used on a global scale and is built on a solid foundation of strict, transaction-only methodology, with diverse data provision from suppliers and direct buyers.

Beyond the CRU index, we provide independent data on prices for metallics, steel raw materials, long products, flat products, plate products and sheet products. Overall, we supply roughly 1,200 price observations per month, ensuring clients have reliable data and forecasts off which to base their transactions and effectively plan purchases.
