Earlier this month, CRU marked a major milestone in its engagement with the Brazil iron ore industry by hosting our first-ever Iron Ore Seminar in Belo Horizonte, Brazil – a region central to global iron ore production. The event had a significant audience of over 75 participants, including representatives from leading companies across the sector, with C-level decision-makers among them.

However, it was more than just a seminar – it signalled an important takeaway. In a landscape where high-calibre industry gatherings are rare, especially in this region, the response we received highlighted both the demand for high-quality market intelligence and the trust placed in CRU's insights and expertise. From carefully curated presentations to valuable face-to-face networking opportunities, the day sparked discussions bound to shape the thinking across the value chain.

As part of our visit to Brazil, our team also had the privilege of conducting iron ore research at Samarco’s Ubu complex – one of the largest pellet plants in the world. This on-the-ground engagement continues to enrich the depth of our analysis and reflects our commitment to understanding the industry from the inside out.

We are proud to have contributed to conversations and to have shared market perspectives with key industry players. We are deeply grateful to our distinguished speakers from Vale, Gerdau, Samarco and itau, whose valuable contributions are shaping the future of the sector, and bringing new approaches and visions that transform challenges into opportunities. These strategic connections strengthen our commitment to continue creating value together in an ever-evolving market.

As we continue strengthening our presence in the region, we look forward to more opportunities to connect, collaborate and lead the conversation with our partners in the Brazil iron ore industry.
