It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of our friend and colleague, Lars Taarland.
Lars was a titan of the fertilizer industry. He traveled the world, trading fertilizers for many years with Norsk Hydro, Occidental Petroleum (Interore), Transammonia, and for Oktay Haksal in Turkey. He joined CRU in 2005.
A proud Norwegian, Lars spoke multiple languages and covered nitrogen markets for more than 15 years, delivering his work with great passion and panache.
Lars will be greatly missed by many. We are deeply grateful for his contributions, and his legacy will continue to inspire our work.
