CRU’s Governance and internal oversight structures, policies and working practices are designed and operated to ensure that our business follows best industry practice.

Our commitment to this is consistent with two of our company values – quality and integrity. This underpins our approach to all our stakeholders and underline our desire not only to do things right, but to do the right things.

The dedicated Compliance Lead exercises oversight of the global compliance framework and embeds the compliance culture as set by the CRU Executive Committee.

CRU Group Governance and Compliance structures and processes currently cover:

  • Corporate structure and governance
  • CRU Group Policies
  • Employee Training
  • CRU Price Policies
  • External Audits
  • Data Security
  • Complaint handling policy

In relation to CRU Prices, our policies, processes and methodologies have been designed to follow IOSCO Principles. We have conducted an external reasonable assurance review in respect to the CRU Alumina Price Index (CRU-API). This audit represents our progression from last year’s limited assurance opinion to a reasonable assurance audit over the preceding 12 months.

In relation to our published Chinese Prices, our policies and processes adhere to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) rules.
