CRU are proud to once again be sponsoring the GWEC’s Global Wind Energy Report which launched on 29th June 2022. As part of this collaboration two leading CRU Analysts, Matthew Watkins and Chenfei Wang co-authored a case study in the Sustainability section of the report, focusing on three major challenges, from a commodities perspective, facing the Wind Industry: Decarbonisation of the commodity supply chain; ability on the supply side to meet demand growth; steel price risk management.

Commenting on the launch of the Annual Report, Glenn Cooney, Head of Licensing at CRU, said,
We support multiple clients across the wind energy value chain and since partnering with GWEC we have seen a significant uptick in new clients seeking to understand pronounced commodity price volatility and, in turn, the potential implications on project costs.
