These are some of the challenges the optical fibre industry face today:
• Lack of transparency and common understanding on sustainability of an optical fiber or an optical fiber cable
• Insufficient communication from the industry about how the industry is moving towards sustainability
• Address the diversity of methodology to describe environmental impact in the production of raw materials, optical fibres or optical fibre cables
• Setting specific goals and ambitions
We want to introduce an initiate on sustainability which aims at addressing these challenges.
