Alex opened CRU’s Sydney-based office and is the country head of CRU Australia and New Zealand. Alex manages APAC consulting assignments, including due diligence for M&A transactions, project financings, independent expert work, strategy advice and Government policy advice.
Prior to joining CRU, Alex worked as a commodities analyst for 15 years. Initially at Citigroup and Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he covered bulk commodities and base metals. He was then appointed manager of Market Analysis at Xstrata, where responsibilities included the formulation of the company's business strategy, marketing plans, budgeting, business development and M&A analysis.
Alex brings extensive multi-commodity experience and expertise in the financial analysis of resource companies and assets.

- Bank of America Merrill Lynch – Vice President, Commodity Strategist, Global Commodities Research - Responsibly for all bulks forecasting (globally) for BAML reporting to equity and FICC heads.
