The Rt Hon. the Lord Horam (7 March 1939–24 July 2026)
It is with great sadness that we have learnt that the Rt Hon. the Lord Horam, co-founder and director of CRU, has died at the age of 87. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lady Horam and their family.
An Alumni at St Catherine’s College, Cambridge, Lord Horam worked at The Financial Times and The Economist before co-founding CRU, with Robert Perlman, in 1969. He then moved into politics serving in the House of Commons and House of Lords whilst retaining a role as a Director at CRU.
Robert Perlman, Executive Chairman, CRU, said:
“Lord Horam was a keen advocate of CRU and always found time to support our work despite his many other commitments. On a personal note, John was a friend and trusted advisor, who made a significant contribution to the establishment and success of CRU. On behalf of everyone at CRU, I extend our thoughts and prayers to Lady Horam and their family.”
