CRU and UniverSUL Consulting are delighted to share that the Middle East Sulphur Conference (MEScon) is expanding the reach of our community in 2026 with the launch of MEScon Connect: Central Asia 2026, taking place from 9 - 11 June at the Intercontinental Hotel in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
MEScon Connect: Central Asia 2026 builds on the success and spirit of MEScon in Abu Dhabi, extending its mission to foster collaboration, technical exchange, and connection across the world’s major sulphur-producing regions.
Central Asia represents the second-largest sulphur-producing region globally and plays an increasingly vital role in shaping the sulphur value chain, both through its production capacity and its links to major downstream markets such as China.
By convening in Kazakhstan, we aim to engage a wider network of operating companies, technology providers, and buyers across Central Asia and China, strengthening regional collaboration and expanding the perspectives that make MEScon such a unique forum for the industry.
The partnership of CRU and UniverSUL Consulting combines the respective strengths of market-leading analysis and technical expertise. Collectively, this partnership enables a unique event that incorporates the market dynamics and technical and operational aspects of the entire sulphur value chain from sour gas processing through sulphur recovery to transportation, marketing and end uses.
The new Kazakhstan edition is not a replacement but a strategic addition. Central Asia’s role as the world’s second-largest sulphur-producing region and its strong technical and commercial links to the Middle East. Many of the region’s major sulphur facilities share design heritage with leading operations in the Gulf, making it an ideal location to broaden our community. MEScon Connect will stay true to the core MEScon experience.
Don't miss your opportunity to join in the discussions around market dynamics, new industry trends and technical/operating excellence.
