Exawatt (part of CRU Group) has created a new opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic colleague to join its solar team. Working alongside industry experts, you will play a key role delivering in-depth and insightful knowledge to clients throughout the solar supply chain.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Perform detailed analysis of solar technologies and markets with a focus on China and South East Asia.

Collect and monitor key metrics from throughout the solar supply chain e.g., capacity, production, installations, prices.

Maintain and develop a structured approach to data collection, storage, and analysis in the solar sector. Own and manage data across our internal systems.

Develop and write powerful narratives for the short, medium and long-term outlook of the solar market.

Produce high-quality quantitative and qualitative reports for our clients.

Work closely with our customers, helping them obtaining maximum value from our services in the form of presentations and 1-2-1 meetings and conversations.

Become comfortable speaking to clients about global solar markets and the technology, economics and legislation that influences them.

Forge relationships with manufacturers in the solar supply chain.

Minimum Required Qualifications

At least an undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline (e.g, maths, chemistry, physics, economics, engineering, sustainability, or materials science).

Master’s or PhD focused on energy, solar technologies or markets would be an advantage.

Knowledge & Experience

Proven experience of working across teams, preferably within a research or consulting environment.

Work experience in the solar or energy markets will be an advantage.

An analytical mind-set and able to get to grips quickly with the intricacies and complexities of the data that drives our outputs.

An outgoing personality and desire to build a contact network and forge relationships with industry players

A positive and collaborative attitude and a genuine interest in the solar sector.

Enthusiastic about delivering the highest quality projects.

Understands the importance of sharing knowledge and ideas.

Keen to learn how their work fits into the wider set of markets and technologies in which CRU is active.
